I'm aproximately 5 weeks post from a
modified kidner procedure with a tendon
graft. I'm still non weight bearing - thus
on crutches full time. I still have at
least 2 more weeks of non weight bearing
and then several more weeks partial weight
bearing. And many months of rehab in front
of me.
I'm having posterior knee pain and
tighness on the non effected leg. I'm sure
that this leg having to bear the weight on
its own has something to do with this
pain. Is there anything that can be done
to help ease this?
If I land with my leg straight I can feel
a pull or tug on the back of the knee. I
notice it more when my leg is extended
straight and foot/toes are pointed up.
When trying to do a hamstring stretch -
lying on my back, utilizing a towel to
slowly move my foot towards my head to
produce a stretch - I can really feel the
tightness behind the knee. Not in the
hamstring. It is mainly in the posterior -
middle to inside of the knee. I hope this
makes sense.
I know I have a long road ahead of me with
rehab on my left foot and want to ensure
that I'm doing everything that I can to
keep my right foot, knee, leg, etc... As
healthy as possible.
