HELPP!!! I have been on
Depo-provera since January 26th. I took it
the day after giving birth. I have been
bleeding since!!!! My doc said it was just
the shot getting used to my body. But I
have been bleeding for almost three
monthes solid. Even though it's just like
a period, I am tired of even tampons now!
I just want my body to FINALLY be back to
normal!!!! I have to go in next week to
get my next shot, but I am not sure if I
even want to if this is whats going to
happen! Has this happened to anyone else
before?? When if at all did it regulate?

That's not uncommon for the first shot.
After about the second or third shot, many
women stop all of that crazy bleeding.
After one year of use, many stop bleeding
altogether. However, you might experience
the crazy bleeding when you decide to stop
depo as well. Make sure your ob-gyn knows
all about your symptoms.
I was lucky enough to stop my period as
soon as I got the shot and not get it
again the entire time I was on Depo. When
I stopped Depo, my periods came right back
to normal. I have heard many horror
stories of bleeding for long periods of
time though.
I read that one ob-gyn estimated that half
of his patients who started depo, stopped
it after only the first shot because they
found side effects unacceptable.

this is just my opinion.... the depo shot
is horrible!. i only had one shot and
never again will i get another one. it
just made me very moody. depo is the devil
