i have a nephew, he's only two. he lives at home with my family, since my brother is waiting to move into his new house. in the morning, he likes to climb into my bed & in order to wake me up, he jumps on my stomach.

i'm currently 13-wk's pregnant, and still tiny. i fall asleep on my side, but by the time morning rolls around, i'm usually on my back. so, the little guy does a good job of bouncing right on top of my baby.

i haven't experienced any bleeding or cramping as a result of his antics, but i can't help, but worry that this could cause future problems. i know it could potentially induce a miscarriage. but if it doesn't, is there any type of damage that might be caused to the fetus? it can't be squished, can it?

i'd call my doctor, but i don't have insurance, so i'm being seen at a clinic, where i see different doctors at each visit. i also can't call up & have an appointment made to my liking. i don't go back until may 14th, when i believe they will be doing my second ultrasound. [my first was for confirmation purposes only].

From here on out I wouldn't let your nephew jump on your stomach. Lock your door, or tell your brother to not let him in your room.

I think you are probably fine. If you have cramping with blood you should be seen. Your baby is quite secure in there.

Good luck

I wouldn't worry about it too much but like the last poster said i wouldn't let him do it too often. I have a nephew who's coming up to three and when he gets excited he jumps up and down on my lap and gets my belly every now and then
