Stress Fractures - Frustrated Us Marine!!! Posted: 04-23-07 02:19am
I am in the Marine Corps and all my
training is on hold because of a stress
fracture to the left pubis ramus. In the
meantime, I am home for 30 days, now I
have 2 weeks left, and the lack of
physical training, I have gained weight.
I can't stand it anymore. This not doing
anything to heal business...I feel lazy.
Can someone who knows anything about this
kind of injury tell me what, if anything I
can do to help strengthen my physical
self. Is swimming ok? The Docs back on
base don't provide any info. They just
prescribe drugs and tell you to rest.
There's GOT to be SOMETHING I can do to
help speed up the process AND get some
sort of exercise in.
thanks
ALSO..I have stress fractures in both my
feet...the 4th metatarsal or something
like that.
