Enlarged Prostate Posted: 04-23-07 11:57am
I am 34 years old and found out on Friday
that I have an enlarged prostate with
conformation of blood in my urine. I am
awaiting a full urine analysis. My doc
seemed a bit dumbfounded by the situation
over all and didn't give me much
information. Should I be proactive and
get in touch with a urologist?

You can never be too safe, so you
certainly could see a urologist if you
want. Blood in urine and an enlarged
prostate are often just signs of an
infection, so hopefully it's a simple
infection that won't give you any real
trouble. A lot of times, the infection
just clears up on its own and the problem
goes away before the doctor can even
confirm exactly what it was.
