I know I'm not supposed to post this in
here and I know it'll get deleted or moved
but I'm not getting responses anywhere
else... so...
I am at a breaking point... I have tried
every "fad" diet around and nothing, or I
gain it all back. What does a dietician
cost and what exactly will one do? I am so
desperate... I contemplated gastric bypass
surgery, b/c I am 240 pounds and my ideal
weight is between 130-140... However, with
the cost of health care in the united
states and the fact that I have no health
insurance, I figured it was out of the
question... I am only 21 years old.... I'm
ruining my life by being this way and I
just don't know what else to try... I am a
new mom to a 5 month old little girl and
don't get much free time to exercise,
other than a daily walk and an ocassional
15 minute work out on the gazelle... I try
to change the way I eat by eating whole
grain bread, vegetables, fruit, lean meat,
soy milk, and following the guidelines in
the book "you:on a diet" but I try so hard
and fail..... Is a dietician helpful? How
much does one cost? What will they do for
me?

use your daughter as a weight and do
lifts, squats, and sit ups, involving
her!!! YOu can also lay her on the floor
and do push ups over her and make funny
faces every time you go down!!
Also, if it's nice out, put her in her
stroller and walk her briskly for about
half an hour. work up a nice sweat then
start slowly walking to lower your
heartrate before you sit down.
You're not alone girl. We all have weight
issues after having our children! You can
pm me if you want too!

you do not need gastric. i used to weigh
245 and i got down to 165 with diet and
light exercise (swimming). gastric is a
completely drastic and unhealthy solution
to quick weight loss. it's for lazy
people.
didn't you try weight watchers? what
happened with that? it works, you just
have to stick with it. losing weight is
extremely hard, it takes time and effort.
i'm having a terribly hard time losing my
pregnancy weight, it's really holding on.
i've been doing ww for 4 months (on
friday) and i've only lost 17 pounds
(while my husband has lost 40, which makes
it even harder for me). yes, it's very
frustrating to be losing so slowly but
what else can i do? i can either give up
and stay fat or keep doing what i'm doing
and eventually i'll get to where i want to
be. now that the weather is nice i'm going
to start taking daily walks with finn and
hopefully that'll give my weight loss a
little boost.
we can be ww buddies if you want to give
it another go. i have all kinds of good
low point treats and delicious low point
meals. pm me if you want.

thanks, unfortunately i gained it all back
plus 10 more while i was pregnant (i
gained 10 with my first preg, 10 after my
miscarriage, 70 with my last preg). now
i'm stuck around 210 but still plugging
away and i want to get down to 185 (my
pre-finn weight) before getting pregnant
again (we're going to start trying in
august). i learned my lesson and with my
next pregnancy i'm going to do a modified
version of weight watchers so i'm still
watching what i eat and not overeating but
definitely not losing either.
this may not be true for everyone but i'm
finding it much more difficult to lose
pregnancy weight than when i was just
losing weight before. pre-pregnancy i
would lose 10-15 pounds a month and now
i've lost 17 pounds in 4 months. it's
definitely not easy.

I totally agree that its not easy losing
pregnancy weight!! I lost about 65lbs
right before I got pregnant and then
gained that plus 10 pounds back! its
harder now because i dont have as much
time to work out (something i did a ton
pre pregnancy) and i find it hard to eat
healthy when i am not working out! ugh.

Wow we all have the same issues lol, okay
basically your metabolim is shot to hell
after having kids so if you want to
jumpstart weightloss you have to options
both suck but they work, one being
chemical"pill" and the other "diet."
I have been working out straight 5 month
and lost a whopping 10 lbs, some of it is
muscle and you have to remember muscle
weighs more than fat...
Anyways to jumpstart everything naturally,
start by 3 canteloupe eat half of it a
day, then start adding salads to every
meal with exercise you will notice a
difference within 6 weeks~! Vitamin B12
is awesome as well as Iron for your energy
levels if you find your lacking but a good
diet will have you up in no time, by diet
I mean eating healthy.

Dang I'm just screwed then. I already
have hypothyroidism plus having a kid, I
basically have no metabolism left.. I
think its working in total opposite to
make me fat forever! haha
