Anyone Know....

...something called Bethay syndrome?
(totally not sure of the spelling...) I
can't find anything about a "Bethay
syndrome" on google so i presume it's
spelt wrongly. Does anyone know anything
about it?
cos i went to the gynae today cos the
lumpies on my doodah aren't any better
with the antibiotics and apparently that
is what I've got...
I'm going to hospital tomorrow for a
general anaesthetic so they can do a
biopsy and also, the gynae took some blood
today...it's all getting a bit serious for
my liking however, the
gynaecologist did prescribe some cream
which is like...my new best friend cos it
numbs all pain in that area
Anyway, sorry for any TMI

If you could try to spell how the word
sounds maybe I can find some information
for you. You could also just call your
doctor's office and ask how it's spelled.

I'm going to try to spell it other
phonetic ways and you tell me which one
sounds more right.
Bethey, Bithay, Bithey, Beethay, Beethey,
Bethei?

God, I really don't know...they all sound
about right! But i looked them all up on
google and still nothing it's really getting
to me!! I wanna know what this syndrome
entails but if I dont know its name then i
cant...usually google is good at
correcting a spelling mistake but nothing
seems to be right.

somewhere in it...

well to tell you the truth, other than
blind loop syndrome...that's the only
syndromes that I believe exist; unless
this "bethay" has another name?

There are many many syndromes aren't
there?! Like Turner's syndrome, downs
syndrome...loads.
I don't think it has another name...it
just probably has a weird spelling and
isn't spelt like it sounds.

well I checked the national medical
library, and those three syndromes that I
listed are the only syndromes listed under
'B'. maybe it's one of those names with a
z before the b.

nah, that's what a nurse practitioner
diagnosed so she put me on flucloxacillin
which is an antibiotic but it hasn't
worked at all which is why i went to see a
gynae today and he said it is probably
this bethay thing.

So my search before was quite broadened,
so I did a search with a little more
depth... here's all the syndromes with a
'B':
Basal cell nevus syndrome
Bassen-Kornzweig syndrome
Battered child syndrome
Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome
Bernard-Soulier syndrome
Blind loop syndrome
Bonnevie-Ullrich syndrome
Bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome
Briquet's syndrome
Budd-Chiari syndrome
Burning tongue syndrome
those are just the syndromes. here's the
two listed I've looked off of...
ht
tp://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/ency
clopedia_B-Bk.htm
h
ttp://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/enc
yclopedia_Bl-Bz.htm
they long lists...
enjoy!

I think I found it guys!! My spelling and
pronounciation were both pretty off lol.
It's called Behcet's Syndrome! I'm just
reading up on it and I cant believe that's
what I might have it sounds awful.

I should contact them and tell them to
update their list.
**edit**
no wonder it wasn't on the list...it's
called behcet's disease.

yeah...it's not good that they haven't got
it. But it is a rare syndrome.
