I have autoimmune hepatitis and is under
control as far as my enzyme count and
bloodwork but I still battle fatigue, is
that typical and will I always have to
deal with the fatigue?

Fatigue is a consequence of hepatitis,
but, if you think that you feel more tired
than it was normal, you should see your
doctor. MAybe he can prescribe you a
better diet plan or so.

autoimmune hepatitis Posted: 07-15-08 23:20pm
My mom is in the Green hospital because of
fluid on the lungs. Could this be caused
by her autoimmune hepatitis? She had
breast cancer surgery nine years ago,
also. Right now the doctors are draining
out the fluid and running tests on it. We
don't have any results yet. Her EKG showed
a good pumping heart, so they did the
sonograms on her other vital organs and
got no information from it. She has been
tired, and has had different infections
over the last three months: sinusitis
won't go away, so they did the needle
thing up in there, then she immediately
developed a bladder infection, suddenly
couldn't breath, and was accepted into the
hospital with fluid in her lungs. Anybody
want to comment on this or give me any
info.? I will post again tomorrow.
Everybody take care of yourselves.

breast cancer travels to other parts of body Posted: 07-16-08 23:38pm
My mom came home today on an oxygen tank.
We got the bad news today, after they did
a CAT scan of her entire body they found
cancer in both lungs with visible nodules
in one, cancer in right inner pelvis bone,
cancer in base of spine. They say it is
breast cancer cells, so it traveled over
the years through lymph nodes. But she had
the 5 years of Tamoxofin, suffers with
lower leg nerve damage from it, and has
been checked regularly, and they only
found this now, after the CAT scan. The
only reason I still post in Auto immune
hepatitis area is I said I would post
today, AND I am wondering how the
intensive chemotherapy will affect the
auto immune liver. Doctors said the
medication for the liver problem may be
too strong, thereby resulting in the
infections, but now it is just one of her
worries. First thing she did is ask for
her antitoxin juice in a glass with
multivitamins and vitamin E supplements. I
cooked an Ethiopian recipe of vegetarian
lentils, and she had two bowls of it, says
she didn't eat a bite of the hospital
food. We are gonna do all we can to
promote her health and fight the disease.
Bless you all.
