Don't Worry! Posted: 05-14-07 11:57am
Wow! You have a lot on your plate, Girl!
No wonder you're so stressed out!!! And yeah, what you
described could be a panic attack!!! You
know, that's exactly how it feels! But
don't worry!!! Just try to remain calm!!!
Think to yourself that everything is going
to be all right, and don't forget to
breath!!! You know, sometimes when we feel
anxious, depressed, angry...we forget to
breath, which in return makes us feel
worse because our brains are not getting
enough oxygen, and so we're not able to
deal with whatever is happening!!! So,
hopefully, you will not have a another
episode, but if the unfortunate happens,
just breath!!! Focus your attention on
your breath as it enters your nostrils,
and focus your attention as it leaves!!!
Keep breathing and focusing your attention
on your breath for as long as it takes
until you feel better!!!!! Best of luck to
you!!!! Take care
yeah, i had another one yesterday, they
suck soooooo much, i made sure to breathe
but still it got worse and worse then
hours later i was finally fine and able to
sleep.

That Happens... Posted: 05-14-07 13:57pm
You know dealing with anxiety is not that
easy to do!!! It takes time, effort,
patience and a whole lot of faith and
hope!!!! But you'll see that as you learn
to relax doing breathing exercises, your
anxiety will not be as bothersome as
before!!! Sometimes you can override
anxiety alltogether by just remaining
calm!!! Right now, because you're new to
the sensations and the awful feelings, it
may take you a little longer to relax, but
there's hope because as time progresses
you'll get better...just wait and you'll
see!!!
I hope you feel better and that you will
not be bothered by anxiety attacks for
long!!! It's bad when anxiety strikes, but
just remember to just wait and let it
pass...everything is going to be all
right!!!!
i was thinkin about possibly seeing the dr
tomorow but im not sure. ah idunno what to
do, my brother gets panick attacks
regularly and is on effexor, my dad gets
them on planes etc.

I use to do the same thing when I had
heart pulpitaions. When it fisrt happend
to me I freaked out. I made them worste
than what they where. And you are probably
doing the same thing. Just relax, they
will pass. think of a nice memory. Focus
on something that. I harldy ever have
heart pulpitaions anymore. Relax! I know
it easier said than done. But it really is
what works. And remember you didn't die
from the last one.. and you won't from the
next. That is what I told myself .

It sounds to me like you may have had a
small case of anxiety, the best advise i
can give you is not to fight it . once you
get that over whelming feeling it is
scary i will admit but try not to think
the worst of things that will only make it
wose . i have been getting anxiety and
panic attacks for as long as i can
remember i believe they started at 5. the
older i get the worse they are it has
gotten to the point where my whole body
gets numb and i start to see little silver
spots i have trouble beathing and some
times stop all together . then i black out
and it takes a few minutes to come to
sometimes after falling to the floor. this
so i have been told is due to me working
myself up for no reason if you just try
and keep calm and tell yourself its ok if
the problem breathing occures use a brown
paper bag and get a glass of water . try
and put on some soothing music and put
your mind in a different place/direction
it may help you to calm down a little
quicker...hope this helps some . you are
not alone .. don't be scared .
