I'm On Birth Control...and My Period's 2 Weeks Early... Posted: 04-26-07 20:49pm
I've been on the same birth control for
sometime between 2 and 3 years...I've
never really had a problem with this birth
control.....but all of a sudden...my
period is 2 weeks early. I'm assuming it's
my period. But it's not like full blown
period....it's very, very light, and it's
a light brown color. Kind of like what it
looks like at the very end of my period. I
noticed it after my boyfriend and I had
had sex a few times a day for a few days
in a row...and we weren't very..."gentle",
and I wondered if maybe he hit something
wrong "up in there" because I can be
pretty sensitive. I'm allergic to latex,
and the non-latex condoms still irritate
me a little bit and can leave me a little
uncomfortable down below for like a day. I
wondered if maybe that had something to do
with it too.....but it's still going on.
And we haven't had sex for like 5 days
now. I'm starting to get a little freaked
out that something may be wrong. Anyone
have an idea of what may be be going on?
Hope to hear from somebody soon!

Did you miss a pill or take one late?
That will cause breakthrough bleeding.
That is not your period, your period only
comes during your placebo week. ANY other
bleeding is referred to as breakthrough
bleeding/spotting.
Antibiotics will cause this as well,
because they reduce the effectiveness of
the pill.
