The first relevant sign of early pregnancy is the lack of menstruation, called amenorrhea. Amenorrhea can also be a sign of some other conditions including a functional ovarian cyst, hypogonadism, and menopause…etc. but pregnancy is the most common condition for women your age if amenorrhea occurs. During early pregnancy, there may also be some other symptoms present such as nausea, vomiting, anxiety, specific appetite, sore breasts etc. but all those symptoms vary in different people and are therefore subjective. These same symptoms are observed during many other conditions and diseases and cannot be relied upon as symptoms of pregnancy because they are so non-specific. The sure way to confirm or exclude the possibility of a pregnancy is to take a home pregnancy test (urine-based) followed by an ultrasound confirmation of a fetus and a positive blood-based pregnancy test.
