It silly to argue over what
it is called. Regardless of whether or
not it's a baby or a fetus, I'm
pro-choice. Never understood why that
mattered to so many people.
Adoption is hardly a
compromise.
It doesn't really matter. But it seems
like when ever it is called a baby by
someone. It is corrected. And I can't
understand why there is always a need to
correct the someone for calling it was it
is. If the person calls it a fetus it is
not corrected.. But when it is called a
Baby someone has to say "it is not a baby.
But it is..

Exactly lol.
There are specific names for a reason...
Because they're more correct. Being "half
right" isn't good enough for me. I know
most people are okay with answers that are
mostly right. I'm not, never have been. I
always prefer the "better answer", like on
tests.
1. What is the proper name for a human at
14 weeks of gestation?
a. turtle
b. zygote
c. baby
d. fetus
Yes, c is technically correct. But d is
the better answer.

The reason people correct it is because it
isn't, in fact, a baby and you are stating
"it's a baby" as if it is a fact. It will
be a baby. But it truthfully has not
reached that point in its life yet. There
are reasons why we have names for the
various stages in gestation, and
dehumanizing fetuses isn't one of them.
So I don't understand why other seem to be
offended when we call a fetus a fetus.
However, I don't think it is wrong to call
a fetus a baby. It's your perception and
you're allowed to call things as *you* see
them. But don't think that saying "You
are killing your baby..." is a fact,
because it absolutely isn't. Pro-choicers
might want to remove any human qualities
from a fetus by avoiding calling it a
baby, but many pro-lifers tend to
exaggerate a fetus's stage in life as way
to induce guilt in women and that is
immature and wrong.

That might be ture, however, when someone
calls it a fetus I don't correct them like
some do when it is called a Baby that was
my point. And like you said if one chooses
to call it a baby during thier
conversation then I don't see the need to
correcxt them. Because a fetus is called a
baby too..

No we don't usually call an egg a chicken.
But you can call a fetus a baby and a baby
a fetus. They are one in the same.. And it
would be nice in a conversation not to be
corrected when you use the term baby. Just
as it is nice not to be corrected when you
use the term fetus!!
I guess what the point I was trying to
make is. Neither side. Pro-life or
pro-choice need to be so quick to correct.
That's all!! Because both ways are ok

This post is the exact reason for the
correction in the first place.
A baby is a born, air-breathing,
independent entity that thinks and feels.
An embryo or fetus has none of those
qualities.
