So I'm sure there are many people out
there who have been completely stressed
out by hcg levels that seem to not be
"normal."
About 2 weeks ago I went into the ER
with heavy bleeding and fluid. I had no
cramps just really bad back pain. MY
husband and I thought we were doomed and
for sure this was a miscarriage. I have 2
small children and my very first pregnancy
ended in a miscarriage. The dr had an
ultrasound taken and they found a healthy
heartbeat with nothing unusual. I was
7wks when this occured. In the last 2
weeks we have been through so much
anxiety, stress and heartache due to my
hcg levels. At the ER they were 62,800
then 3 days later 90,000 then 2 days later
85,000 then 2 days later 68,000(then 9
weeks). Iwas then scheduled for an
emergency ultrasound and had a radiologist
called in to examine my ultrasound. My
baby had grown to exactly the right week
and had a heartbeat of 178. My dr had
said before I went in if this is going to
be a miscarriage there is nothing we can
do about it, it's going to happen no
matter what. So the radiologist told us
there was a sac with a living pregnancy
and another sac connected to my baby's sac
full of blood. The sac with the blood was
4 inches long and the baby's sac was 2
inches. They are now concerned that this
will overtake the baby and I will lose the
pregnancy. I'm being sent to a
specialist. Now we are just waiting to
find out what can be done about this. Has
anybody heard of this before? I've never
felt such sadness in my whole life!
I don't believe in HCG levels being
taken. They are just a big stress and
have proven in my case to not end in a
miscarriage(at least as of now). Any
ideas would be greatly appreciated!
