Im Scared I Might Be Pregnant! Help! Posted: 04-30-07 18:13pm
I USUALLY GET MY PERIOD AT THE END OF THE
MONTH AND IT GOES ON INTO THE BEGINNING OF
THE NEXT MONTH, WELL ITS ABOUT TO BE THE
NEXT MONTH AND I HAVENT GOTTEN IT
YET...WAIT THERES MORE, I HAD UNPROTECTED
SEX A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AGO, COULD I BE
PREGNANT? I HAVENT TAKEN A TEST YET, IM
JUST TRYING TO WAIT IT OUT, ANY ADVICE,
THOUGHTS OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL,

Yep, if you had unprotected sex you could
be pregnant. If you are late you should
take a test. That is the only way to know
for sure.
Are you trying to get pregnant?

Well then, if you aren't already pregnant
you definitely need to get on some birth
control so that you don't have to go
through this agian. But i'm sure you
already know this.
How many days ago was the incident?

Honestly, a pregnancy test wouldn't be
accurate yet. So you will get a negative
even if you are pregnant. It hasn't been
long enough for your body to produce the
amount of hormones necessary to trigger a
positive. You should wait a week. If you
still haven't gotten you period you should
test. Then it could be accurate. But it
still may be a little early. If you have a
doctor, you could go in for a blood test
in the next week and it could be accurate.

you should definitely look into getting on
contraceptive.

Sex with birth control is way better
anyway. Go to planned parenthood. It is
free and there is no reason not to use
it.
Also, because you had unprotected sex, you
need to get a pap smear and test for
lovely things like sexually transmitted
diseases. These can be carried by people
who don't even know, or will not admit, to
having them.
I suggest getting on birth control
and wearing a condom every single
time. Don't even let him touch you with
that thing without having it wrapped up
first!
