Q: How to Tell Fiance I'm Pregnant!

Well i have taken 2 pregnancy tests one last night and one this morning and they are both positive.

I think that i must be in Shocked because i really dont have any emotion!!

I didnt tell my fiance that i was doing it because he hasnt been feeling himself lately and i didnt want to freak him out if it wasnt necessary.

My question is......Please tell me how you went about telling your partner that you were pregnant!!

Please post your stories! I need to do this right! Smile

Thanks

Congratulations!!

How you tell him will kind of depend. How old are the two of you? Was this a planned or unplanned pregnancy? When you say he is not feeling himself do you mean depression or are there allot of things going on in his life?

Thank You!!

I'm 26 and he's 27 and have been together for over 5 years.

I have been diagnosed with both endo and PCOS and was told that we would need some help when it came to having a child.

We have never used protection because well after 5 years nothing has ever happened...until now of course! Smile

As for my fiance....he was put under alot of stress the past 12 months or so with work etc. Although not diagnosed his mum and i think it might be a bout of depression.

If you think that he will be able to emotionally handle it you should try to do something really cute. If your not sure how he'll handle things you may want to just sit down and tell him straight out.

Mothers day is soon so you could always get yourself a mothers day card and leave it somewhere he will see it. Sign it from your future son/daughter. Or you could get him an early fathers day card.

Sorry, I'm really tired right now. But I'm sure I'll think of some more. Hopefully, someone else will have some good ideas.

Well i told him!!!!

Not excately the reaction i was hoping for but i should have known he would act this way. He's gone all silent. I dont expect miricles but a hug would have been nice.

Thanks mc4ever02 for your advice. I just wished others would have taken more interest in my post cause i really needed it!

thanks again.

if you look back throuh old posts you will see there have been lots of posts on this topic.

The 4 hours between your posts were probably our quietest time of day.
For me your posts were between 3.08am and 7.42am.

I'm sorry he didn't handle things better. But in his defense, he could have handled them alot worse! Men have a harder time coming around to these things, sometimes. Especially if it wasn't planned. I'm sure if you give him a day or two he'll apologize for his reaction and be just as excited as you are!

Have you scheduled your doctors appt yet?
