Birth control pills are effective, it is
when you miss pills and take them
incorrectly that there are problems..
I recommend any woman that is sexually
active to use contraception of some kind,
so YES, I would recommend that you use
it.
Side effects vary from woman to woman, and
some women never experience anything.
You will not know unless you try =)

Never even heard of it. Is it generic or
name brand??
You can always google any medication and
information about it should pop up...
often times one of the sites that will pop
up will be a place where people report
their side effects and how they
experienced the medication. I did it with
the pill that I am on now.
However, realize that most people that are
talking about the side effects of a pill
are doing so most likely because they had
bad side effects. The ones who had no
problems generally don't say anything
because there's not a reason. So if you do
ask for people's experience, you will get
a lot of negative feedback because those
are the people who want to talk about it.
And everyone experiences every birth
control differently, so you really will
just have to wait and see what you
experience.
