Hi~
I've had migraines for over half of my life. I used to have success with Imitrex. Now, it seems like that doesn't work anymore. Has this happened to others? What would be a new medicine to try?

Do you see a neurologist for your headaches or a general physician?

There are many migraine medications on the market. They all work slightly different. However, they all carry different risks. Without knowing your medical background I can't really suggest anything specifically. I can tell you that I tried many differnent ones until I found the one that works for me. I am currently taking axert and it works well for me.

After time your body can become resistant to a medication that we have taken for long periods of time. Which is probably the case for you. So don't worry, you probably just need a different medication for the same relief you were perviously getting.
