Birthing Classes Posted: 05-03-07 15:01pm
I just signed up for birthing classes at
my hospital and I am wondering if any of
you guys took them and if they helped.
I am sorta excited about it and I am so
glad that I signed up now! They were
almost full and you are supposed to be
done with them 1 month before you are
done!

I just started taking classes this week at
my doctor's office. It's every Monday for
four weeks. So far, both my husband and i
are enjoying it a lot. We've only been to
one class, but it really helps you prepare
and learn what to expect. I'm sure you'll
enjoy it!

I loved going to classes-it was my
favorite part of being pregnant! Ours was
12 weeks long.

Our class is 5 weeks I think. I have a
"baby basics" class too.
Also, what kind of blanket did you guys
bring with you? I don't have one so I
think that I will have to buy one.

Living in Chicago, you won't be needing
those warm fuzzy blankies to go home with!
At least you won't have any lake-effect
snow. hope you have AC. You probably
won't need anything but receiving blankets
for the little one when you are there.
And maybe some onesies. Sometims I miss
midwestern summers, but not often!

Aww...just 6 six days after me. I'm due
to deliver my little girl on the 20th!!!
I actually haven't planned on taking any
classes. The hospital only has one
mandatory class and that's for the
epidural. I'm going to take that one, but
that's it. And that's only because if I
don't, then an epidural won't be available
to me no matter how much I beg for one.
Good luck to you with your classes!!!!

.i think she means what kind of blanket
should she bring to her birthing classes.
.we just brought the throw blanket that we
put on our couch. it's about 4 ft by 6
feet, pretty simple. just get a cheap one,
you'll only be using it to lay on.
