Ear problem: Tinnitus? ...ringing sound during silence Posted: 05-04-07 03:28am
i have this crawling sensation in the left
ear and also ringing sound when everything
is very silent for the past ten years. i
have consulted some ENT specialist but
that didn't help.can you suggest me as to
what i should do?
the crawling sensation is not continous
but it comes and goes ( around ten to
twenty times a day and only in some months
but not the whole year through)

If the first ENT specialist didn’t help
you, you may ask for a second opinion from
another ENT-specialist. If ear damage is
excluded, then you may consult a
neurologist. A CT-scan or MRI of the head
can help doctors to exclude possible
neurological reasons for tinnitus. Be sure
to check your blood pressure, too.
