Pregnancy And Rollercoasters Posted: 05-06-07 23:35pm
I just barely found out I was pregnant so
am only 5 weeks. My family and I had
already planned a trip to Six Flags and I
know if I sit out on the rollercoasters it
will raise some suspicions (we wanted to
wait until further along to tell.) I was
wondering if riding rollercoasters would
be okay. I am definitely going to stay
away from the one that are obviously
extremely jerky but was wondering if the
smoother ones might be okay. I know some
women might have gone on rollercoasters
without knowing they were pregnant and
things turned out fine, plus I couldn't
find anything actual scientific studies
that said it is bad since it obviously can
be tested for ethical reasons but just
wanted some feedback.
Thanks!

I actually road rollercoaster before I
found out I was pregnant with my son and I
was about 6 weeks and hes just fine. A
lady I know is pregnant and asked the
people at six flags here in IL and they
said as long as she rides the ones with
the lap bar an not the shoulder things (or
maybe it was the other way around...)
(maybe you can ask someone there without
someone noticing.) shed be fine and shes
22 weeks. I think youd b just fine

i wouldn't. there are signs at every
rollercoaster that say not to ride if
you're pregnant. i know those signs are
there to cover their butts but there must
be a reason they had to put them up in the
first place.
