this.
I'm terrible i haven't gone to any
birthing classes and i'm not going to
either. There arn't any in my town and the
closest teenage antenatal classes are a
few miles away and i have no way of
getting to them and even if i could get to
them .Dom wouldn't be able to come too.
I'm going for a tour of the delivery suite
on the 26th and the woman doing the tour
(who also happens to be my midwife) is
doing an antenatal class afterwards so
i'll go to that one. I have a pretty high
pain tolerance but i am starting to get a
little worried now because i had a painful
braxton hicks yesterday and suddenly
thought 'oh my god the real contractions
are going to be worse!'

i've been thinking about a waterbirth but
i'm not sure because for me it's important
to walk around a lot because i know i'll
be more comfortable and also i know that
once .Mika's born i'll just want to lay
down and rest with my new baby not get out
of a pool, dry myself off, get changed and
then move into a room. I have heard very
good things about the pain relief from
water. I'm hoping to go pain relief free
if i can, i'm only willing to have gas and
air but i'm keeping an open mind with pain
relief, if i want it i'll have it but if i
can cope without then i won't have it

Yup pain free! All my friend look at me
like i've gone mad when i tell them that.
But the way i see it is that when pain
relief wasn't available women still had
babies and coped perfectly fine, i'm just
gunna see how i go really, labours are
relitivly quick in my family so i hope i
follow the tradition! Both my mum and
sister went into the hospital already 7cm
dilated thinking that labour had only just
begun!
