Shoulder Replacement Posted: 05-07-07 22:31pm
MY HUSBAND HAS ARTHRITIS IN HIS SHOULDERS,
AT THE LAST X RAY IT SHOWS THAT THE
SHOULDER IS BONE ON BONE, HE HAS BEEN TOLD
THE ONLY SOLUTION TO HIS PAIN AND
DISCOMFORT IS TO HAVE A SHOULDER
REPLACEMENT.
HE IS 58 YEARS OLD AND STILL RESONABLY
ACTIVE, HOWEVER, HE HAS RETIRED FROM
WORK.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THEY HAVE HAD THIS
OPERATION AND THE RATE OF THE SUCCESS

I had one 2 years ago and I am very happy
I did it.I was up to 100mg of morphine a
day for the pain, I don't even need
aspirin.
The only advice I can give is you have to
be very motivated. There is a lot of rehab
and its a continuing thing. You have to
stretch everyday and keep the joint
moving. There is some pain and
occasionally you will have a few bad days
strung together. If your husband wants to
talk PM me and i'll give you my number .
