2 Months of Regergitating My Food Please Help
Posted: 05-08-07 20:36pm

Back in Feb I started vomiting but the food was never digested. Over time it got worse. Now no matter what i eat no matter how small the amount of food up it comes. I eat I get a tightening in my stomach and I throw up. Sometimes I fight to try to keep it down but the pain of the tightening becomes to intense and I have to throw it up. I have been drinking water to help so it does not hurt to throw up because the food is not digested. I have been very dehydrated on a few occasions and now I sip on gaterade but I can only take small sips throughout the day. There is no nausia just the tightening and as soon as it comes up I feel better but I am hungery all the time and get dizzy spells, I have lost over 30lbs and feel like crap all the time.

Can anyone help me????

you really need to see your doctor. I'm worried about dehydration. There are a couple of reasons for vomiting right after eating but you need to be seen today to rectify the dehydration and electrolyte imbalances

and you haven't seeing a doctor yet?? Two days vomiting I would have been at the doctor.

Look the doctor needs to find out what your problem cause you really have a loud and clear situation here. That sounds like a problem the daughter of a friend of mine had where she vomitted the food it didn't got to the stomach. One of the little muscles that is in the opening of the stomach (there is one that opens and other that closes in synchronization so the food gets into your stomach) stopped functioning, means like became vague and she begun to vomit all food like you describe. So she lost all the weight like that but she got treatment which involved being hooked to a machine most of the day until that muscle began working agian. Anyways so you better run to the hospital asap and find out what is going on with you. It sounds serious to me.

So sorry didn't mean to leave this out just so frustrated. I have been to my Dr. When it first started it was just in the morning and mostly with coffee. So I figured it was some stress and the coffee and stopped drinking it. However over the next couple weeks it got worse to where nothing stayed down. I went from 205lbs to 160lbs in 6 weeks.

My first time seeing a Dr was in the ER and they took blood and urine all the found was a kidney infection. 2 days later I saw my dr and he gave me meds for the infection. When they were done the vomiting continued. I went back to my Dr and had a gravol shot and he sent me to see a specialist. That Dr did a Gastroscopy and abdomanal ultrasound, all it showed was my stomach looked irritated, she sent up a byopsy and it all came back clear and fine.

This has not gotten any better but it is not worse either. I eat even small portions and then after about 20 mins I throw it up. I have tried babyfood, Ensure, boost, Jello, and many other things that should not be a problem but they are.

How I get through each day is this. Ok yes I am drinking coffee again in the morning but after I throw that up I have a teaspoon of peanutbutter and just lick it off the spoon for about 15 mins I do the same kind of thing with triple fruit jam, 1 teaspoon of yogurt and I sip on a 710ml of gaterade.

look it seems to me you have an unsolved problem here. I will tell you that my dad was sick of the stomach for years and the doctors didn't found anything wrong. They did gastroscopies and nothing found. He continued sick so one day he decided to go to a family doctor. My mom told him if the specialists can't do anything for you how come a family doctor. But that doctor discovered what he actually had. A condition called tropical spru that affected food absorption. He wasn't absorbing food at all so that's why he vomited and had diarreah so much. He got treated with folic acid and vitamin b12 injections and got cured. To this day my dad think that doctor is god hehe. He was gonna die if nobody discovered what he had. And i tell not even with gastroscopy a gastronterologist found what he had. So I would visit different doctors until i get an answer.
