Diaper Rash

Logan has had a diaper rash for a few days
now and nothing I've done has helped it. I
use Balmex cream and J&J powder (I've
tried them one at a time and together and
also tried not putting anything on him).
The Balmex has always worked just fine on
his rashes before, but this one just won't
go away.
Does anyone have any suggestions about
what I can do? I clean him really well and
make sure he is dry before re-diapering.
Is there a specific product or something
out there that can help with a stubborn
rash?

Hmm, I used Balmex and desetin and I don't
recall which worked better. But it also
helps to use a warm wash cloth to wipe him
up rather than the wipe-ups, because those
have alcohol in them and only irritate it
more. I also let .adriana run around for
awhile to air dry (and hope she didn't
mess on my floor!)

finn's never had a diaper rash but he does
get raw spots in between his rolls (my
brother refers to this as "chub rub"), we
use a&d and it works wonders.
i've also heard that letting them go
around without a diaper on is helpful.
i hope you find something that works and
that it clears up soon!

Hmm, I've never heard of sudocreme. I did
a quick google on it, and the first few
sites that came up were all new zealand
and such.
He looked a little better this morning -
I'd just been powdering him really well
the last few changes. I let him roll
around on the bed without a diaper for a
little while last night, so that might
have done the trick
I'll try the washcloth next and might go
for some a+d if it doesn't clear up. My
mom said she used something that worked
great on me and my brother when we were
babies... unfortunately, she can't
remember what it is. lol.
Thanks for the suggestions!
(and lol @ 'chub rub'!)

We used some stuff called butt paste on my
stepdaughter. It worked really well for
her. We got it at wal-mart.

a&d works wondersssss!!! seriously!
That's all we've ever used on .oni!!
If it spreads, it could be .thrush. call
the Dr. if it does spread and/or doesn't
get better within a couple of days.
Also you can put baking soda in the tub
with him.

Dani, yea they're practically the same.
Oni was put on .nystatin for her thrush!
It was in her mouth/throat though.

that as a side effect!

We have .Boudreaux's .Butt .Paste here.
That's what the hospitals recommend before
you leave. Ava only had one when she had
a little yeast infection from antibiotics,
so I can't tell you how good it works.

Lotrimin mixed with a pea sized amount of
cortisone cream works great.. I won't use
anything else on .Kaylee.
