I have had a slightly elevated mole on my
lower neck for as long as I can remember.
I think that I must have recently
scratched it for some reason. It is not
itchy and does not appear to show any of
the ABCDE symptoms. It does have a thin
scab on it which I occasionally remove but
it reforms. When the scab comes off the
mole appears as before (no change) Is this
worthy of more detailed examination?

Of course I am going to tell you to see a
physican. If you keep scraping at this
mole, why not have it removed? I have had
so many lesions, moles and precancerous
places removed its not funny. I just like
to be on the safe side. Its probably
nothing more than a common mole, but some
of those can turn into cancer. BEtter to
be safe than sorry!

I agree with Fairy grandmother. If it
bothers you to the point where you are
bothering IT, it's time to see a doctor.
You'll probably find out that it's nothing
but an aggravation--but at least you'll
find out!
