Breastfeeding And Aunt Flo Posted: 05-10-07 21:17pm
Hi all! My little Sebastian was born 8
weeks ago to the day and I have been
exclusivly breastfeeding,
Today I was graced with AF's delightful
comeback
I always thought that AF usually didn't
come back until breastfeeding was
stopped?
Is this normal?

it all depends on the person some times
women get their period back sometimes they
dont. sometimes they get them but they
have a longer span between them...
so really, it just depends on the person

I just went for my 6 week appt after
having my son and I asked my doc about af
and when she thought she would rear her
ugly head. She said that for some women
who exclusively breastfeed af will stay
away for a year, but other women get it
soon. Sounds like you are the latter.
Sorry.
I am bf too, and I have not seen a sign of
her.

thats is not true. most women have their
periods but irregular ...breastfeeding is
often referred to as the natural birth
control but it isnt always that way!
congrats on your new one!
