Eye Pain Following Intraocular Lens Implant Posted: 05-11-07 14:42pm
Hello,
After the implantation of an intraocular
lens (for myopia) three years ago, my
friend began to have a strong pain in the
right eye. Last year (six months ago), it
was decided by another surgeon to remove
this implant because it was probably the
reason of this pain, although there were
no real clinical proof of this origin.
However, the pain is still there
(sometimes even stronger). Medical imagery
does not show anything special. One
surgeon (amongst many physicians she has
seen for that) had talked of a potential
problem with a "ciliary muscle" that could
remain even after a removal of the
implant. Does someone have some idea or
suggestion, or maybe had a similar problem
? Thank you for your help.
PS : excuse my poor english (I am French).
