I Know My Peers Won't Understand....need Help
Posted: 05-12-07 11:14am

I am unsure if this needs to be in the plastic surgery section, but I felt this was a more general question. On Thursday, I needed surgery to remove excess tissue from under my nipples. I essentially had "man boobs" if you will and I am 5'11, 160 pounds. Despite the exercise, they would not go away, so I did not feel personally embarassed for having to use the aid of plastic surgery.

My problem is that I took Thursday, Friday, and I may take Monday off from high school to heal up. I also cannot take gym class for the rest of the school year. I haven't even told me closest friends that I have had this surgury and I really don't plan to. Since I know people will ask why I can't do gym, what should I tell them? Almost my whole chest is wrapped, so what other kind of injury involves that? Any help is appreciated.

I think that if I were you, I would either be honest about what is going on or say that I don't want to talk about it rather than lie. That's just me though.
