After eating, sharp pain at xiphoid & bloated : gallbladder Posted: 05-14-07 14:40pm
After I eat sometimes I feel very bloated
get sharp pain at the xiphoid radiating
over to the right under the rib cage. I
feel somewhat nauseated. Then several
hours later I will have a slimey loose
stool that is greenish brown. Is this gall
bladder problem

It is hard to diagnose the real problem
give the set of symptoms and conditions
you are experiencing. You may be
experiencing problems with the
gallbladder, but these symptoms can also
indicate trouble with the stomach or
duodenum. You can request an abdominal
ultrasound to exclude gallbladder stones.
Then, a gastroscopy can reveal possible
problems in the stomach and duodenum, if
needed. You can consult an internist for
an expert opinion.
