16 Weeks & 5 Days Pic's Posted: 05-15-07 10:17am
sorry about the bad clarity. idk what's
going on with the digital camera today?
hm.
but yeah, 16 weeks & 5 days!! everyone
keeps telling me i have a small baby bump
for being that far along? i feel huge,
though!
oh, and i had my doc's appt. yesterday. i
gained 6 pounds since my last visit about
4-wk's ago. i also passed out
after getting my TB test. it was quite
embarrassing.
on a happier note, we heard the baby's
heartbeat for the very first time!!
definitely calmed my nerves a bit. my next
ultrasound is for may 29th. it's a fetal
echo. anyone ever have one of those?

hearing the heartbeat was surreal. at
first i couldn't believe it. it still
hasn't hit me that i'm pregnant. i believe
i have felt the baby moving around a
couple of times, but it's nothing strong
& only lasts a couple of seconds or
less. it'll all hit me soon & i
seriously can't wait!
it was also really, really comforting to
know my baby's alive & well.

thanks! i'm really hoping they tell me at
the fetal echo u/s. i'll be 18 weeks &
5 days pregnant, so - i don't see why not.
the u/s is high definition, or so i was
told, & it checks the heart, along
with other organs. i would assume that
somewhere in there they'd pass over the
sex organs? thus, we can
find out what my baby is!!
i'm feeling a boy, though. so strongly,
that i told my boyfriend we should go
shopping for blue clothing. i've had
boy-feelings since week 10 or so. i'd be
extremely surprised if they told me i was
having a girl.

Hi there,
I had a fetal echo done as well. They just
checked to make sure that the babys heart
is growing properly and that everything is
going as it should. IT was pretty neat all
that they did. I think that they are
sending me for another one before I have
the baby. Good luck and do not worry. They
seem to send people for it alot these
days.
Take care,
Mary
