Bullimic, Anorexic, Chewing And Spitting, And Depressed Posted: 05-15-07 20:07pm
i have had a problem dealing with my
weight for about 2 years now. its not that
im over weight im about 5"7 and i weigh
aprox 135. I will make myself puke, i
starve myself, and i almost always chew
and spit out the food i'm "eating" i have
tried constantly to stop all my problems
but when i stop, they just come back to
haunt me in a few days, or the very next
day. everyone in my family noticed how im
not myself ever, im always upset. I dont
want to tell them because i know they will
be upset, they have told me that if i have
an eating disorder they dont see me as
part of their family. Because of my eating
problems i have made myself other problems
such as constipation and constant stomach
aches. i really need to stop but it seems
that if i go to my parents they will be
too upset... i need help from someone
other than family because the last thing i
want to do is hurt them...
First off how old are you? Depending your
age i can tell u diff ways to get the help
you need, if your still in school like
highschool etc , i would suggest talking
to your guidance councelor (sp) about the
eating problems as well as the family
problems, your family might be just saying
that because they dont think you will seek
the help you need but I'm thinking if you
go to them and tell them you want to get
help to overcome it they would be very
supporting, also look in the phone book
etc, to see if there are groups in your
area or even look online. If your over 18
it may be alot easier to get more
professional help then if your only 14 or
so.

im turning 18 in a month, and im also
graduating in a little less than a month
that makes it easier being 18. you dont
neccesarily have to include your family in
getting help and recovering, but its your
choice but i also think if u went to them
and told them u planned on getting help
they would support you.

Hi.
I know that people often say that honesty
towards our parents is the best thing, but
I understand what you mean. I could never
tell my parents or sister about my
problems ans thoughts, just like you
said.
You can still seek for help without
getting them involved. Isn't there any
cousellor at your school, for example?
Sometimes there are and it's for free,
besides being a service that is close to
you, at school.

i know i cant be picky with the people i
talk to but my guidence counselors at
school are not the best people to talk to
about those type of problems. i think
that they would not know what to say. The
one guidance couseler i have is new to the
school and she doesnt seem to ever know
whats going on...

Well, I'm sorry I can't help you, but seek
at your school first.
