Q: Do I have Ectopic Pregnancy ?

I have taken 3 pregnancy tests - all of which have come out positive. I have also missed my period - which was supposed to come 2 weeks ago. So, i assume I am pregnant. I wasnt able to get a doctor appt though until 2 weeks from now.

In the meantime, i have a worry. For the past few days, I have been having some dull pain in my lower right groin. It is intermittent, and goes on and off. It is not sharp, or stabbing, or severe. I am just worried I might have an ectopic pregnancy, and was wondering what this suggested. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Of course you should always check with a doctor about these things and this forum is only opinions ...but, it could be implantation cramps. At some point between ovulation and when the next menstrual cycle is due to begin, if fertilization of the egg takes place, the zygote will attach itself to the wall of the uterus. The process often results in pain that is noticeable enough to induce comment. Just a thought. Hope it's nothing serious.

I don't think you're having an ectopic pregnancy, I say this because my mum has suffered 3 ectopic pregnancies in the past and its now a dull pain and it comes on fairly quickly from how she's described it to me. Its unbearable pain and sometimes comes with bleeding. Every woman is different. It could be just stretching pains, I had these terrible when I found I was pregnant, and was convinced my positive tests were wrong as they were like period cramps and intermittent also. I'm now almost 23 weeks pregnant. If you're worried or the pain gets worse go to your local Emergency department.

i had the same pain as your describing when i was in my first trimester. it went away and my baby is very healthy. and about how far along you should be... well you should be about 4 weeks pregnant if you missed your period 2 weeks ago... at least i'm pretty sure you should only be 4 weeks... but as mentioned in earlier posts, definatly go to a doctor... we don't know everything...

good luck with your pregnancy!

if i waited for my actual doctors appointment i would have been well into my 9th week.

I had the same concerns as you do so i just rang them back up and told them how i felt and the fact that i was freaking out and they just double booked me in.

You may have to wait a little longer but at least your mind will be at ease.

Just an idea!! Good luck!! Smile
