Severe bowel case : are green stools normal ? Posted: 05-16-07 14:17pm
We got test results back from the xray of
his bowels and he is .NOT cleaned out yet.
I am just so frustrated. I guess he is
considered a very severe case and we need
to give him "more" medication. I am
refusing the stimulant (exlax) that is
causing cramping and seemed to make him
vomit, so we are to try Milk of Magnesia -
2 tablespoons three times a day (which is
a lot for my little man). I spoke with a
doctor over the phone and the doctor did
say that in situations like nates, green
stools for a little bit is normal. Doesn't
seem normal to me!! We are going to do a
stool study just in case. This whole thing
will .NOT be cleared up by the time little
Brian/Bryan is born.
This is just so very very frustrating!!!!
Thanks guys for all your support.

I'm sorry his case is so severe. Poor
little man. Well I hope the milk of
magnesia helps him.

Poor little guy!
.i'm glad you refused the stimulant. Milk
of .magnesia will probably be much gentler
on his poor tummy. Wasn't there someone
else advertised on tv that was supposed to
be gentle, too? My mind's drawing a blank.

Oh, maybe I was thinking of .senosol. I
think it comes in pill form... does .nate
swallow pills? it
says online that it's safe for children,
but I don't know if it'll help if he
doesn't swallow pills yet.
