I Have Had 2 Kind of Periods They Only Lasted 1 Day Each Posted: 02-23-04 23:48pm
I have had my period I think 2 times I am
not for sure it only lasted for about one
day both time and I have taking 2 pregancy
test they are both neg. But I feel sick
all the time my boobs are getting bigger
and they hurt my tummy is getting hard to
what does this mean help me!!!!!

Hi there,
you really need to see your doctor. I
doubt what you had was a period, as it
only lasted one day each time, so thats
not really considered a period. There
can be many reasons for having a break
through bleed such as the ones you are
describing. You may be pregnant and be
experiencing implantation bleeding. The
contraceptive pill can also cause this
kind of bleeding, especially if you have
forgotten to take it one day, or you have
only been taking it for a short period of
time. Stress is another factor, and the
list goes on and on. The fact that you
have taken 2 pregnancy tests, and they
have both given a negative result both
times, indicates that you are probably not
pregnant. On the other hand, if you have
taken the tests too early, they won't
actually give you an accurate reading.
You should always take pregnancy tests at
least a month after the intercourse took
place to guarantee an accurate result.
Alternatively you could make an
appointment with your doctor to have a
blood test done, which will determine
whether or not you are pregnant, and will
be 100% accurate. You can have the blood
test done from about 2 weeks after
intercourse I think. Although feeling
ill and sore breasts are indeed symptoms
of early pregnancy, you will not feel your
stomach start to harden until at least 3 -
4 months into a pregnancy. It is really
important to see your doctor as soon as
possible, if you are actually pregnant,
you need to be thinking about starting pre
natal vitamins and folic acid, as well as
discussing with your doctor when you need
to book in for the first blood tests to
rule out any possible problems with
bubby.

Thanks for the advice but if I have my
period again only for one day what do I
need to do I am not on the pill I should
be but I am not I know you said og to the
doctor but where to go I cant go tomy
family doctor they will tell my parents
and they cant find out yet I am not
married and my dad will freak I dont want
to tell them if I am I wan to wait to make
sure if I am or not before I tell them!

Hi skibunny,
do you have a family planning clinic
nearby ?? Sometimes these types of
clinics do pregnancy tests for free.
There are also other services that would
be listed in your local telephone
directory that deal specifically with
teenage pregnancy.

Did you have normal periods previously?
If these are the first there is probably
nothing to worry about.
If your periods were normal then changed
you should check in with your family
doctor, he won't be able to tell your
parents and if it is a period problem he
will ask you some questions, and if you
are sure you are not pregnant (2 tests
should be enough to be confident you are
not!) then you can tell him you are sure
you are not pregnant, if he wants to do a
test then let him!
If you are having sex then you should
really use a condom, and/or be on the
pill.
Most of all try not to worry

No I havent ahd a normal peroid since I
had sex with him and I dont have a clinic
near by and every one I have called I
have to get out of school for and I cant
do that with out my parents knowing so I
have no idea how I will manage this one I
would go to the conulser at school but I
live in a small town and my mom and the
conunsler are really good friends if you
know what I mean and I know she would tell
you know so what do I do now and I am
starting to have cramp like right by my
belly button and they hurt really bad they
are not like period cramps just cramps
like a sharp pain in my stomach

Look up in your phone book for a place
called planned parenthood, and or crisis
pregnancy center. Both of these places
give confadential pregnancy tests. And
i'm pretty sure they will do them for

You really need to do something. Your
counsellor should keep it confidential,
even if they are friends with your mom.
The longer you leave it the worse it will
get in your mind, when there is probably
nothing to worry about. Have you talked
to a close friend, they might be able to
help. The important thing is that you
get sorted out. Did you use any
protection, if so you are more than likely
fine, if not please try to go to someone
to help.

No I didnt use protecetion and can pre cum
get yuo prego and how soon does it cum and
stuff I am so lost I cant get out of
school to go to the doctor I am only 16
and you have to have a parent call and
chck you what is this planned parenthood
if I am not can I get on the pill from
there how much is the pill is it very
expensive

Ok, you have to go to your counsellor.
If you cannot get out of school you need
to talk to someone, and if you can't talk
to your mom then your counsellor has to be
next best. The other option is to try a
sympathetic teacher that you like. I am
a mom and would like to think my daughter
could talk to me, true I would be upset
but my main thought would be that she is
o.K, and I think and hope most moms feel
like that. The longer you leave it the
worse it will get in your mind, and you
will probably be fine. You can get
pregnant from pre-cum. When did you last
have a "proper" period?
