It sounds like you are in denial...if you got a positive on a cheap pregnancy test and no period in sight, you are pregnant. First and foremost, call your ob-gyn (most gynecologists are also OBs) and set up an appointment for good prenatal care.
Be sure you are taking a prenatal vitamin daily. You can get them over the counter at any drugstore, grocery store, Walmart. Folic acid is extremely important for your baby's development.
Do NOT take Dayquil or Nyquil!
For headaches or fever, only Tylenol is OK; don't use aspirin or Advil, and try not to make it a daily habit to use Tylenol just as needed. If you need something to help you sleep, you can use Benadryl or Unisom.
You definitely want to avoid alcohol (even the alcohol in OTC medications)& drugs as well as limit fish consumption, especially fish high on the food chain that will accumulate mercury.
For morning sickness, some women have success taking 50 mg of vitamin B6/day (others it doesn't help) & some women take B6 during the day with 1 Unisom at night. Otherwise, sometimes ginger helps--gingerale, gingersnaps. Some women do best eating small snacks several times a day and combining protein with sugar--ex. crackers, peanut butter & Sprite, cheese toast & apple, trail mix & fruit juice, cottage cheese and peaches. Keep saltines by your bedside and eat a couple each morning before getting out of bed.
It's normal to have period-like cramps when you're pregnant. I had these for the first 2-3 weeks after I got a positive on a home test.
