Aspartame Disease Addiction to Diet Coca Cola Posted: 02-24-04 11:19am
I have a friend who was spiraling out of
control literally. Mood swings, blurring
of vision ,dizziness, weight gain,
irritability, water retention, hyper
activity. I could go on but after a few
run ins with him and his irritability, I
knew that he was sick although routine
medical tests done on him proved
negative.
I was aware that he was drinking up to8-
12 cans of diet coke a day! And this was
over a period of quite a few years!
Anyhow after waking up to the fact my
friend was indeed very ill, I began
researching the web only to find that
addiction to diet coca cola can indeed
cause all the above and much more the
culprit being aspartame and my friend had
what is known as aspartame disease.
I would very much like more information
from anyone addicted to diet coca cola
anyone with any research or information
on this would be welcome to e-mail me.
This has all just happened recently and my
friend has now stopped drinking diet coke
and we are monotering his health.
Thank-you
I thought that is why they started putting
splenda in things. Is splenda just as
harmful? I am always cautious when using
produts with this stuff in it. Nutrasweet
was proven to cause problems too and I
stay away from it. Most people assume the
word diet means you should drink it when
you are on a diet...When in reality it is
usually replacing natural sugars with some
chemically produced ingredient. Diet
sodas have been proven to cause
weight-gain and I would stay away from
them at all costs. Aspartame is also in
foods like dehydrated soups. I am very
wary...I will look for some info on
splenda...And stay away from it until I am
satisfied.

The fda aproves the usage of many things
such as asparatime and splenda with
reckless abandonment in my opinion.
They are as corrupt as any other
government run operation. It's all
about money and these companies that come
out with these so called "alternatives" to
what mother nature provides have plenty of
it. There are so many harmful products
on the american market today it's almost
laughable. Just look at these facts:
we are the "most advanced and prosperous
country" yet we lead the world in cancer
and heart disese and obesity. And we
have all these products and pills that we
take to fix everything, but we keep
getting sicker and sicker. Look at acid
reflux disease for one. Until a few
years ago we called this heartburn.
This is a direct result of stress and poor
diet. And the drug companies would have
me take a purple pill for the rest of my
life that could give me a huge hoast of
other potetially harmfull side effects.
Why? Because they are in the business
of making money...Not helping people.
We should all look at countries like
thailand and compare them to the us and
britain. Why are they so much
healthier, and why do they live much
longer by comparison than we do?
Because we slowly poison ourselves with
what the fda approves and we live such
exaustive and stressfull lifestyles to
boot. So let's just continue to eat
chickens on steroids, and livestock that
is fed processed food (containing
livestock parts) and drinking our diet
sodas that are poisoning our bodies and
only making us fatter.
Sorry about my rant on this forum, but we
all need to wake up to what we are really
doing to ourselves day in and day out.
I highly recomend anyone to read kevin
trudeau's book natural cures they don't
want you to know about. Some people
call him a quack. But then again some
people are brainwashed too. Just my two
cents.
God bless

Oh good lord. So at least I can blame my
diet pepsi now for making me fat? This
is very disturbing to me. What the hell
can I drink? Plain water? Uck.

Alternatives For Daily Drinks Posted: 10-12-07 20:35pm
Hi,
I went off of coffee then soft drinks for
many reasons. Anyway, I drink herbal teas,
some decaf teas, and I put grapefruit
essential oil in my water (from Gary Young
Essential Oils). It is not only delicious
but is good for weight loss. Be careful of
any drugs that don't allow you to eat
grapefruit.
One great for you tea is Celestial
Seasonings Coconut Thai decaf!

Hope your friend gets better fast, no
doubt that pop (I'm from chicago) is bad.
Diet or sugar free products are advertised
as "no harmful sugar" but then the
substitutes are harmful. Even with the
popsicles for kids....no sugar labeling
makes parents feel good but what happens
to the GI tract after years of sugar
substitute exposure? Probably
constipation and IBS! You mentioned
normal "tests" but many of the tests we do
in alipathic medicine are superficial. We
usually look for big things like diabetes,
thyroid disease, anemia or liver or kidney
failure. May need to look into other
problems that lead people into the
continued use of harmful products.
Western medicine says they may have
"sought out" the caffeine or sugar sub, so
consider an addiction behavior. Eastern
medicine says he probably has a deficiency
of energy, may need an herbal tonic.
Alternative medicine puts him in a picture
like candida overgrowth.
If it were me and the symptoms continued
after a month to two of being off the pop,
I would ask the doctor for follow up
testing....repeats with some specifics
looking for diabetes or thyroid disease,
consider seeing a psychologist for support
and therapy and then find an herbalist or
napropath to combine treatment plans

My dad has been forever warning me against
diet drinks. - Mine of choice being Diet
Coke. I've heard that aspartame can cause
cancer in huge doses. I hope your friend
gets better soon! I'll be praying!
