2 Kids & Ready For #3 - How Close Is Too Close In Age ? Posted: 05-20-07 09:49am
I have 2 children. One is 6 and the other
is 8 months old. My husband and I really
didn't want to have them so far apart, but
due to health reasons I had to wait. Now
we want to make up for lost time. We are
thinking about having the next one only 18
months apart from the second child. Can
anyone relate, or give advice about what
it's like having them so close?

my sister had her daughter when her son
was 14 months old, from what she's told me
it's hard work but not impossible

My sister and I are 20 months apart. We
grew up really close. my mom seemed to
think it was ok. And, my brothers are
only 11 months apart!! don't think she
planned that one but she survived it!

My two siblings and I are all 16 months
apart therefore, my parents had three
children in under three years. It was
probably unplanned but I absolutely loved
growing up with siblings that are close in
age. It was probably challenging for my
parents but I really think having close
siblings is beneficial to child
development.
