Pain In Left Testicle Region
Posted: 05-21-07 14:49pm

28 years old. no trauma to the genital area but am experiencing mild-moderate pain slightly above left testicle. This especially occurs before and during ejaculation and the affected testicle also starts to move up when this happens. what could be causing this???

Pain in the testicles could be caused by many different things, and cannot be diagnosed over the internet, so you have to go to the doctor. You should also go to the doctor, because you don't want to leave something untreated that could get worse. It may be simple as an infection.

Testicles usually move up when men have orgasms, so that may be normal. I don't know if you're just noticing it more, or it's new.

Still Having Pain In Left Testicle!!!
Posted: 06-06-07 13:51pm

ok well took boyfriend to ER the other day b/c he was still having pain in the left testicle. The ER doctor told us it was probably from vigorous sex and lack of being in "sexual shape"????? He also brought up the fact that my boyfriend wears boxers when he jogs and that could have contributed to the pain. I don't believe this is the real problem. He is still having the pain after several weeks and with no relief. Can the diagnosis we were given really be all there is to it??? we have only had sex 2-3 times since the ER visit a 2 weeks ago b/c doctor said to "stay off it". Could there be such a thing as partial testicular torsion???

What tests were performed? Ultrasound?

An ER doctor is not going to be as thorough as a regular doctor. ER's job is to take care of emergency and urgent medical conditions and then send you on your way. ER visits are supposed to be followed up by a doctor visit so that further steps can be taken if necessary.

So make a doctor appointment. It's cheaper than the ER.

No Ultrasound!!!
Posted: 06-07-07 07:53am

No an ultrasound was not done. The good news is he does have an appt. with a urologist later this month. I would like to think that the ER doc was right and it is nothing more than a "sprain" but i really don't think that is all there is too it. An ultrasound will be demanded @ the urologist's office. Thanx.
