Wow! I was shocked to find so many
people in the same situation as me! I
been taking anti depressants for about 7
years and finally discovered that i'm not
suffering from depression, but from bp
i'm starting on lamictal (lamotrigine) and
i'm scared of side effects and i'm afraid
of feeling "depersonalized". I'm also
taking seroquel to help me sleep...Will I
ever be normal again? Is there a light
at the end of the tunnel?
I have a 10 month old baby and I want to
enjoy being a mom

Good luck with your new medication.
Lamictal was wonderful for me when I was
taking it. I had been on lithium, and it
was such a downer. Everything was so
blah! On lamictal, things seemed much
more like normal. And as far as I know,
the only side effect you have to watch out
for is a skin rash, which is serious.
The most important thing to remember is a
gradual increase or decrease of the med.
Gradual!
If you missed it, on "the view" they had a
doctor who listed the top ten prescription
drug new medical miracles. Lamictal
topped the list.
