Induced Adreniline Like Feeling ?
Posted: 05-22-07 08:59am

Hi There.

Although this problem is not of any concern to me i have always been interested to find out what is going on.
Please bare with me as I try to explain it because it is not something I can describe easily.

What happens is firstly, I have complete control over it. I am able to do 'something' in the back of my neck, though nothing moves, i think of nothing, just something happens with my control, which induces a huge 'rush'? i guess you may call it, throughout my entire body. I can hold it for about 15 seconds, and it wears off after about 20, although I can stop at any time I want. Several seconds after stopping, i can do it again. After i've stopped it is a similar feeling (although not the same) as if i have just had a big fright. If i do this in bed i cant get to sleep for an hour or 2. The sensation causes my entire body to twitch or quiver and i am quite sure i am unable to speak or move i suppose. Even though if i wanted to move i can stop instantly and do what ever i need to - it is not a state of paralisis. No facial expression is noticed by friends, just the twitching of my body. I dont feel threatened or vulnerable in this state as i have full control and i almost feel more alert.

The sensation isnt an on or off feeling, I am able to control the intensity of the rush. I feel like its something everyone has always been able to do until i one day told my mum and she thought it was wierd. It then came up in conversations with mates who thought it was wierd also... Ive always wanted to be hooked up to some sort of monitor to see if any activity is happening during it.

The best way i can describe how i control it is sort of like, feeling like you are clenching your fist, without it actualy moving. It starts in the back of my neck, and spreads through my entire body instantly, to give an adreniline like, or butterflies like feeling throughout every part of me.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas on anything close to this please let me know il be interested to hear from you. Feel free to ask any questions I know i cant have said enough to describe what its really like but ive got out what i can.

It probably sounds crazy but it happens.. and its finaly interested me enough to do something about it haha.
Any feedback much appriciated!
Thanks everyone
Cheers - Josh

Really, I have never heard of such a thing. Have you brought it to your doctors attention to see if they knew what you were talking about?

No I havn't ever really thought much of it to be honest. Its just lately its come up in conversations like i said and its sparked a bit of interest in me and some of my friends. I would hate to waste a doctors time thats all... Although friends say thers no way it could be put on from signs they see, I can't help but think all of the effects happening, are easy enough for anyone to stage. Although I dont know whats happening internaly so i dont know. Either way I dont want to see a doctor incase he doesnt takeme seriously lol
Cheers for the feedback
Much appriciated
