Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Posted: 05-23-07 05:53am

Hi all

I have just been told by my GP that I might have carpal tunnel syndrome. I am being referred to a rheumtology specialist at guys hospital.

I have been expericing pain for the last 6-7 months in my fingers and lately I have been getting alot of pain from my elbow, thumb and wrist. Also get the numbness and tingling feeling aswell. The main pain started in my little finger during the night and I could not move it for a little while. It also felt like my knuckle had come out of place.

I would be interested to hear about other peoples experiences of this and wonder if my symptoms are the same as anyones elses who has been told they have CTS.. Would also like to hear about peoples treatments they have had whether drugs or surgery. Ie did they have drug treatment first or was given the surgery option straightaway.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Chrissie

Many people try to avoid both drugs and surgery, some have luck some don't. You might try a Chiropractor and / or supplementing with vitamin b6.

Good luck and God bless!

I was sent for tests and the doctor said that I had carpal tunnel syndrome worse in my right arm but I had it in my left arm too.

My hand would feel numb and sometimes I would lose strength in it and things would just fall out of my hand. It was kind of scary.

I had a friend share a nutritional health juice with me. I was skeptical but it helped a ton. I don't have any problems with either arm any more. My arms don't fall asleep at night and things don't just fall out of my hands because I can't grip them.

The doctor had been talking about doing surgery on my right arm. Thank goodness I didn't have to go thru that.

Most Sincerely,
Karen Carmody
