I Have to Be Circumcised :(
Posted: 05-23-07 08:32am

My uroligist appointment finally came round. I first went to the docters about tight foreskin and problems with the frenulum breve(banjo string) so he then referred me to urology. The waiting time from now to the operating is 3 months.

The urolgist took one look and said I need to be circumcised I was kinda exspecting just a snip of the banjo instead but I guess not.

I asked how much they will cut off he said enough to expose the entire head of the penis but this seems like to much I would have preferred like a cm off or just yano the tip were its tight but he wants to do it all off.

This will be very strange for me as going to the toilet will be different as I usually have some skin to hold onto at the tip but after the operation I won't. Plus my foreskin dosn't come back when erect so I don't need any lube or anything to masterbate but now I will have to find a whole new technique or masterbating. Plus the head of my penis will be very sensitive on my clothes. N its just gonna look different. I don't even no how its gonna look will it just look like a penis with the foreskin pulled back all the time.

I really not pleased about this tbh.

i dont know about frenulum breve, but for a tight foreskin (phimosis) doctors would normally just advise stretching exercises. is your case so sever that these didnt work? have you tried them? you really should exhaust all possibilities before resorting to circumcision. it sounds like you really dont want to have the circumcision done. dont let a doctor make rash decisions for you.

Whenever a doctor suggests a surgery (or any procedure), especially one you do not want, get a second opinion. So go to another urologist and ask him what he suggests and why. After you've gotten his opinion, then talk to him about your concerns and your desire to keep more skin.

As for your other concerns. You could still masturbate without lube. I'm circumcised and rarely use lube, because my skin is still loose enough to pull over the crown. I'd imagine you'd be sensitive with clothes like you said. To know what it'd look like, just look for pics on the net, though yes it'd essentially be like if you had your skin pulled back all the time. Opinions about how it looks are purely personal (and societal), so whether a girl likes it or not depends on her. Most men in the US are circumcised so chances are you won't have a problem with girls finding it unattractive.

As to how you view it, that's a totally different story. People tend to get used to the way they look and changes are weird to say the least.

Anyway, I'd say talk to another doctor and get his opinion and then talk about your concerns. Also bring up tightness. I'd think it wouldn't be a big problem in adulthood circumcision since the doctors know the size of the penis they're working with. However, some circumcisions at birth end up being too tight when they grow older.

Hi, yeah I've been to the docters a total of 3 times about it in the passed. The first guy gave me some cream to like loosen up the skin and I had to stretch to. The second docter said the cream idea was daft and kinda just said to keep trying to pull it back in the bath. I new to keep tryin to stretch it anyways as I used to alot. I only goes so far with the whole stretching thing and the more i did it the more the skin would tear or become sore. I did make alot of progress but it kinda came to a big hault and it just won't stretch anymore without spliting. I'm 20 now but when I was like 12 my foreskin couldn't even come back at all when not erect but now it comes back with ease but it kinda rolls back and not slide back. It dose the same now when erect when I pull it back it just rolls back which pulls on the frenelum so tighly.

The frenulum however never stretched over the years and that causes me the most pain. The docter just bluntly said look its only seems like its going to keep causing you problems and eventually the frenulum will more than likely rip plus the scars I have from the tears he just recommened the circumcision. I pulled the forskin back and put a condom on and after about 15 minutes when I took the condom on the blood vessall had all swolen up around the frenulum so thats when I just realised I needed to get it sorted.

There are small scars on the top of my foreskin from were it has teared and heeled but usually heeled tighter which lead me back to sqaure one usually.

I guess if they leaked me abit of "slack" so that I can masterbate without lube then it will be fine lol. I told the uroligist that the foreskin dosn't come back when erect and about the problem with the condom and he just saidwelll the more reason to get it cercumsized then.

My bro said "well atleast you can get some proper head and not have to worry about the foreskin being in the way"

Gamma Linoleic Acid oil is a good moisturizer and makes skin healthy and flexible which might help it stretch if you want to keep trying. You can find it in Borage or Primrose oil. Most health stores concentrate on carrying Flax oil, so you'd probably have to order it over the internet.
