Hello, I'm a new user. I wanted to see if
anyone was on Orthocyclen. I am on this
medication for PCOS treatment, and have
heard that there is an hcg hormone in it,
so it interferes with pregnancy tests. Is
this true? Because if so I may be royally
screwed.

orthotricyclen.
I think that the Orthotricyclen is the
most common. But I believe
that orthocyclen is a birth control as
well. If so, it will not interfere with a
pregnancy test.
Have you taken a test?

There is no hcg hormone in birth control.
It would be unlikely to get pregnant on
birth control. If you think you are
pregnant, or have tested positive, please
go see your doctor.
Good luck.

Yeah, I took a test and it was negative,
but I'm having weird symptoms-ones I
thought were related to the medication,
but my gynecologist says no. She might be
a quack though. I'm probably not, but its
a scary thought. Especially at my age.

Birth control pills will not affect the
results of pregnancy tests. They can
cause you to have some symptoms commonly
associated with pregnancy like tender,
swollen breasts and nausea and increased
appetite.
