Very Confused As to What I Might Have....please Help! Posted: 05-23-07 15:08pm
Sorry for the long post, but I'm very
confused and could use your help.
I have been diagnosed by every doctor as
having anxiety, depression and OCD
tendencies. I have never seen an ENT or
neurologist, nor have I had an MRI.
Since 2003 I have been on the following
medications. I have included everything I
believe:
Prilosec, Nexium and Zantac for GERD.
Celexa, Xanax, Paxil, Cymbalta, Buspirone,
Clomipramine, Clonazepan, Mirtazipine,
Zoloft, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Prozac,
Welbutrin, Risperdal and Toprol XL for
depression and anxiety with little to no
help and I believe they actually make me
worse. Ambien, Lunesta, Simply Sleep,
Tylenol PM and Melatonin for sleep. I
currently take 20 mg of Lexapro, 10 mg of
Ambien, 0.5 mg of Risperdal and 20 mg of
Prilosec.
The longest I have been off medicine since
2003 was for like two months. Family and
friends tell me I was never like this
before I started taking medicine and only
started taking it as I had a lot going on
in my life at the time. When I wasn't on
medication I was fine unless I went out
and drank. I would wake up couldn't
remember like 15 minutes of the night,
think the worst case scenario and it would
become so debilitating that I would go get
put on some medication to get through it.
My symptoms:
Dizzy, headaches, sweats, my head feels so
weird, my eyes feel like they are crossed
and almost bulging out of my head. I
can't sleep well at all and when I take
the Ambien to sleep, within 5 minutes I am
so dizzy and out of it I can't even walk.
I can't remember very much anymore,
irratible, my left ear always hurts,
sometimes I can hear a heart beat and it
usually gives me a sore throat. My body
feels like it's going a million miles a
minute, off balance, equilibreum feels off
and if I am on something high off the
ground or a merry go round, I get so
dizzy. I also cannot do the things I used
to without feeling so tired. I feel like
I have pressure behind my eyes, like blood
is not getting to my head or something.
Any ideas???? Am I going crazy or could
this be something else? I had tubes and
my tonsils out when I was young. I just
can't do this anymore.

Have you had your blood pressure taken? I
had symptoms like those - the dizziness,
migraines with pain behind my eyes, fast
heart beat...Come to find out its high
blood pressure.

I have and it always comes back normal.
Not really sure what to think.
