Anybody compared seroquel with other
options? Zyprexa? Benzos?I like seroquel,
but I am very concerned about the "side
effect" of Diabetes. Then again, I don't
want to be addicted to Xanax either.

What did they prescribe Seroquel to you
for? It's mainly an anti-psychotic drug,
but is sometimes used to help with sleep
(but it's not a good choice of sleep
aid).
If they gave it to you for anxiety - then
I would go back to your doctor and ask
them for something else... either from the
anti-depression or benzodiazepine
categories.
Long term Seroquel use can cause severe
vision damage... so I wouldn't recommend
it at all if all you are using it for is
anxiety and/or sleep aid.

I have not heard about the vision thing,
just diabetes. It was prescribed for
anxiety. I did not want to take benzos due
to the physical addiction. Seroquel is
good for sleep, but this is not a good
thing at work.
