Come And Get Your Belly Pics !! Posted: 05-27-07 07:05am
36 weeks ladies! getting really close now
The pics
arn't great quality because i was trying
my hardest not to get my head in them
because i look rough as hell today! Also
i'm a little confused because since last
night i've had a different kind of
discharge (tmi i know) it looks kinda
mucusey but doesn't have any blood in it,
it's a little too early to be losing my
mucus plug i would have thought so could
this be down to the uti? It's not a bad
kind of discharge just different,

lovely belly lady!
Maybe the discharge has a bit to do with
your uti? Funny I had bloody show this
week and I'm only 35 weeks Nothing happened
though, and the doctor just told me to
take it easy and to stay off my feet as
much as possible. I really just think it
was a bit of it though, so maybe you just
lost a part of your mucous plug?
I hope all is well , expecialy after your
hospital dash the other day ... sorry I
never got the chance to reply to that post
but You're one tough chickie... I'll think
you'll be awesome in labour hun!

i guess it could be part of my mucus plug
but wouldn't my cervix have to be open for
that to happen? When i had the vaginal
exam my cervix was closed. Plus i forgot
to mention in the oridginal post but i
went on the tour of the delivery suite
yesterday (that's why the pics are a day
late) and i am so in love with the
birthing pool room it looks amazing! We
went into the special care baby unit and i
saw an absulutly tiny baby, he was born at
28 weeks and is 3 weeks old now and he
weighed an ounce short of 3lbs, i just
fell in love with him

I think (this is what I gathered from my
replies on here) that you can lose bit's
of your plug and it not really mean
anything ... I honestly don't know if your
cervix has to be open , I sure hope not
because I don't know what else that
could've been that I passed ... and I
haven't had any contractions or had my
waters break or anything. I haven't had an
exam yet, but my doctor said he would like
to do one on wednesday at my next
appointment, but I'm almost positive it
was my plug... it was a textbook mucous
plug (hehe I know sorry for the tmi)
Are you going into the birthing pool? I
don't know much about those but maybe I'll
want to, at my appoint. I think that's
when my doctor and I will be discussing my
birthing options and so on. I feel so
unprepared!
How did you like the tour?... did you feel
more at ease about the whole process
afterwards? I'm hoping after my tour I
feel a little more at ease about what's
going to happen in a few short weeks!

first off, im pretty sure its just the
angle, but you look smaller tehn last
week...at least to me, lol
about the discharge, it could very well be
from the uti, or it could be your plug,
you can lose your plug at any time, it can
even grow back, and no i dont think you
have to dilate or anything, it just means
your cervix is *changing* that could mean
its just softening up getting ready to
dilate
and your water breaking has nothing to do
with anything, some peoples waters break
before they even start to dilate, some
people can be 10 centimeters and still not
have it break (a friend of mine who is a
midwife told me about this lady she had a
few weeks ago who delivered her baby with
the bag of water still completely
intact...it has a special name when that
happens, but id imagine that would be
really neat)
also you can dilate for weeks even monthes
before you deliver your baby and have it
not mean anything

I had a uti and there was no discgarge.
Maybe it is the mucous plug. I just
finished explaining the differences
between the mucous plug and the placenta
to my fiancee. They usually break your
water if you are fully dialated and it is
still intact right? When they are born
with the placenta intact they call it a
caul. I think in the old days they used
to think that babies born with a caul
covering would be able to see the future
and stuff like that. Gotta love old wives
tales.
Oh yeah, and you're so lucky Danni, my
hospital doesn't have a tub they only have
a shower.

the tour was really interesting, i'd
already been there twice when my sister
had her two kids so i knew it pretty well
so i wasn't worried about it at all
really. I might go for the birthing pool
i'm not sure yet, if it's available when i
go in i'll proberly take it but i'm kinda
split because i can imagine me just
wanting to lay in a bed holding my
daughter once she's born nor getting out
of water, drying myself off and getting
dressed you know? I want to be able to
take my time after the birth and not be
getting out of a pool
