Any changes to menstrual flow such as changes in the colour or duration of the period can be due to hormonal disturbance, uterine abnormalities, infections and other causes. However, you can consult gynecologist for a vaginal examination and to discuss the next steps in trying to regulate your menstrual period to a normal, regular flow.
