Wishful Thinking Posted: 11-02-04 15:34pm
My mom has light hazel eyes. Her dad
had green eyes and her mom had light brown
hazel eyes. My dad has dark brown eyes.
I have the darkest brown eyes you ever
seen. Lol. But I do wish my baby be
born with light eyes. My husband has
very blue eyes. I'm thinking with all
the recessive light eye genes in my system
that our baby will have light eyes.
Wishful thinking. What do you guys
think? My husband's family all have
blue eyes. He is caucasian and i'm
hispanic. Let me know what you guys
think. I will keep you posted. I'm
only six weeks so it will be a little bit
till we all know.

I hope my baby has pretty eyes... I allready have a
son, and his eyes are a beautiful blue!
His eyes are a dark perfect blue (and he
is two so they will stay that way...
Mostly) but I had perfect blue eyes when I
was little and now they are green and
blue... Depending on my mood. How is
that possible? Both my parents had brown
eyes. Obviously with the ressesive genes.
3 of my aunt have brown eyes and my uncle
and other aunt have blue eyes. My sons
father had hazel eyes. And if i'm
pregnant now, his father has hazel eyes
too, but different dad. So I suppose a
brown eyed child is out of the question?
Oh well. I think I will read that article
suggested earlier.

This post might get lost, but I wanted to
add this. I have always had light blue
eyes. My husband has brown eyes. My
mother had blue eyes until she was 13,
then they turned green. My dad's eyes are
blue. My husband's dad has brown and his
mom has greenish blue. His gramma's eyes
are green and his sister's are green. I
wondered for the longest time what my
son's eyes would turn out like. Well,
they were a deep blue until he was about
2...That's when the brown started creeping
in. I thought they were going to change
brown. They didn't....Before I knew it,
green was mixing in, as well. Now his
eyes are a pretty hazel:) they change
depending on the lighting...Sometimes they
look blue, sometimes brown, sometimes
green....But the most common color is a
very neat greensih brown :d
