2.5 Months...too Early For Teathing ?
Posted: 05-28-07 07:51am

My little guy has been more fussy than usual the last few days. I have noticed he has been gnawing his fists and drooling a bit?

I have tried using other things to put in his mouth but he just cries and tries to spit them out.

It just seems like 2.5 months is too young for teething to start. Could it be teething or something else?

Some kids teethe really early. My nephew had a tooth at 2 wks old and another a few weeks later. So, no 2.5 mths old is not too early. It really depends on the child.

Good luck with that!

Definatly not to early! Brayden started the whole drooling and chewing on his hand at 2 1/5 months ands he is now cutting teeth at 3 1/2 months!

gnawing on fists and drooling is common around this age. the drooling is because they start producing more saliva and don't really know how to swallow when they're not eating, so out it pours.

to the op, he could be teething or he could be going through a growth spurt (that can cause fussiness too). good luck!
