How does one get past the primary health
provider to a referral for a cardiologist?
I'm in the Medicaid system

I
am grateful to get some health care, but I
cannot get past the primary. I have had
problems with palpitations, shortness of
breath, some chest pain but mostly I get
pain in my upper back between my shoulder
blades.
I'm a 50 year old woman with hypertension
though I have lost a good deal of weight,
I still need to drop 50 lbs. Once I
called my doctor's office with my
complaints. I was sent to the ER where I
got the usual tests. EKG, stress test,
x-ray and the blood samples. Of course
all was normal.
The symptoms have not left me, though it's
subsided for a day or two only to return.
My symptoms are: a pressure in my chest,
intermittent pain in my back between the
shoulder blades, a constant cough and at
times uncalled for extreme fatigue.
I could go back to the ER, but I know I'll
get the same treatment. So why bother? I
need to get pass the guards at the gate.
Any help??
